This two-day event supported by Confluence and The Native American Youth & Family Center Microenterprise Program will showcase a unique blend of art and literature aimed at empowering Indigenous peoples and their peers on their journey of healing.

Art Show – January 31, 2025

We will be gathering on January 31st from 5 PM to 8 PM with an inspiring art exhibit featuring original paintings and illustrations that celebrate Indigenous culture, vulnerability, and the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Guests will enjoy light refreshments while participating in an interactive activity designed to promote mindfulness and well-being.

Book Release – February 1, 2025

On February 1st from 11 AM to 5 PM, delve deeper into your inner journey with the release of Kitana Connelly’s groundbreaking workbook and coloring book.

This resource invites readers to embrace self-exploration through cultural heritage, guided by ancestral knowledge systems and ways of being.

Highlights of the Book Release include:

Mindfulness Space: A serene environment for attendees to connect with the book’s content and reflect on their personal journeys.
Creative Spaces: Engaging activities featuring coloring pages from the book, allowing participants to express themselves creatively and releasing what restricts their growth.
Artist Talk: A special presentation by Kitana Connelly at 12 PM, where she will share insights about her work and the importance of healing in Indigenous communities.
Refreshments: Light snacks and drinks will be provided to nourish the body while the spirit engages in the art of creativity.

This workbook emphasizes that healing is an act of resistance and a celebration of resilience, encouraging participants to reclaim their narratives and foster emotional breakthroughs through creative expression. Attendees will have the opportunity to reflect on priorities and balance in their life with the medicine wheel workbook page. They can also illustrate their connections to nature, celebrating the interwoven relationship between themselves and the land, with a guided concept.

This is an event not to be missed! Join us in fostering a supportive community where creativity is medicine.

Thank you to the Native American Youth and Family Center for assistance and space, as well as Confluence and their Emerging Indigenous Artist and Educator program, an artist residency funded by the Roundhouse Foundation.
