Daria Martin Bigham
Education Workshop Facilitator
Daria Martin Bigham is Yavapai-Apache from Camp Verde, AZ on her mother’s side and Tolowa-Dee-ni’ from Smith River, CA on her father’s side. She grew up next to the confluence of the Smith River and Pacific Ocean until leaving to further her education. She received her BA Degree in Liberal Studies from Sonoma State University and then enrolled in a dual teaching credential program at California State University, Sacramento. She held both her General and Special Education teaching credentials until moving to Oregon to start a family.
Daria has worked for tribal nonprofit organizations in rural and urban Native communities. Her passion is to bring Native presence and education into the classroom for all students and staff to access. Her education and work experience helps her to bridge and build stronger partnerships with parents, school building administration, and district leaders.
Daria enjoys connecting others to resources, working collaboratively with others and creating communities. She loves her role in co-facilitating workshops!
